JOIN OUR FRONT-LINE DEFENSE -- BE A LAKE MONITOR!

SCLA Lake Monitor Training – a MY SHORELINE WEEK initiative

Come and learn - no registration needed

Saturday, June 20, 2026

9:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.

Spider Lake Town Hall

In-person attendance is best, but Zoom will be offered.

PRESENTER: Natalie Erler, Sawyer County AIS Coordinator

Early Detection of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) is critical. Aquatic Invasives can have devastating effects on lakes -- limiting boating, swimming, and reducing property values.

Volunteer to become a Lake Monitor and do what you already do on the lake in your boat or kayak – with an educated eye toward Invasives. It’s only a 6-hour commitment per year and it’s FUN!

Download AIS Early Detector Handbook (PDF) here
